Seagrave United Church Greeter Schedule effective Jan. 01, 2018 to May 5, 2019

Procedures for the Greeters and the Ushers
Greeters and ushers to wear name tags (which will be provided).
Place a glass of water at the side of pulpit for the minister or guest speaker. The water is to be dispensed from the water cooler.
Check to see that a bulletin and hymn book are on pulpit.
Light candles on the communion table but not the Christ candle and extinguish all flames after service. 
One of the greeters to light the Christ candle (see bulletin).

Collect the offering.
Being Intentional about the Greeting
Either the greeter or the usher may welcome parishioners and visitors. The bulletin, containing the order of service and announcements, is presented and visitors especially are invited to take a denominational pamphlet of their choice.
Visitors are invited to sign the guest book.
Visitors are asked if they would like someone to seat them.
Either the greeter or the usher is to remain at the back of the sanctuary for a short time after the service begins to greet late comers.
Coffee Hour after Church
The people who are greeters are also responsible for the Coffee “Hour” after Church. The people who are scheduled, set-up for the Sunday Social and are responsible for milk and or cream. To make coffee use the recipe posted in the kitchen and make it in the small beige coffee maker.
